One of the most painful disorders we treat here is plantar fasciitis. When patients come to see us experiencing extreme heel pain or having difficulty walking or standing, plantar fasciitis is often to blame. This time of year, we see more cases of this condition because people have spent all summer wearing thongs or going barefoot, leaving the tendon involved in plantar fasciitis largely unsupported.
